Camouflaged
Apr 16, 2021
Camouflaged in the midst of the dead grass
Lays a tiny, but strangely ordinary lizard.
Unbothered by the cold silence,
He lies there, motionless and lone.
He looks up, wonders
As voiceless as the surrounding
Lost in his own thoughts
That twists and bends
Gazes upon the boundless territory
With calm, yet with a questioning eye
He sets out through the days’ pass
Scampering as the path leads off.
